    Pampero Daiquiri

Because I haven’t done a cocktail recipe in a while and I just came up with this one:

    Pampero Daiquiri

    • 2 oz. Pampero Aniversario rum
    • ½ oz. fresh lime juice
    • 1 tsp. simple syrup
    • 1 dash Fee’s Grapefruit bitters
    • 1 dash Fee’s Whiskey Barrel Aged bitters

Give all of the ingredients a shake with ice, and strain into a chilled rocks glass over ice (one big ice cube, old fashioned style, if you have it).

The two bitters together are reminiscent of “Don’s Mix,” a secret ingredient in the original zombie recipe that consisted of grapefruit juice and cinnamon syrup. This would probably work really well with Bittermen’s Tiki Bitters in place of them, and could be interesting—although different—if you substituted chocolate bitters for the whiskey barrel one (that’s the cinnamon flavor).
